Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the product for its exact sizing, good quality, and perfect fit. Its compatibility with 35 Ford wire wheels has been highlighted, adding to its practicality. However, some customers needed to modify the product for it to fit certain models, a factor prospective buyers should take into consideration. Despite this, the product is recognized for being well-made and finely machined. Though it's noted it doesn't come with lug nuts, the product's overall performance and reliability are well-received by customers.

Quality spacer / adapter

A well-made piece but we were using it as a spacer on the back of a Ford truck rear and the sender was not cut out large enough for the hub . A little bit of simple machining fix the problem and it works great, but I would recommend checking the hub size before you buy it to make sure it fits if you don't have a way to machine iit.

Buyer Beware

This adapter was specified by Speedway to mate 35 Ford wire wheels to their 5 on 5 early Ford disc brake kit. They do not fit as supplied. I had to machine the inside diameter of the adapter to fit the Ford truck rotor that is supplied with the brake kit. I also tried the wheel adapter on a 40 Ford drum/hub; it was closer, but did not fit that either. If you buy this product, expect additional work to use it. Overall quality is good, just made to fit an unknown something that I don't own.

I put 1940 brake drums on my 35 Ford. These spacers worked perfect to remount the wire wheels. I did have to replace the wheel studs in the hub with longer ones which was no big deal. These are high quality products.

Nice part that is machined well. Just thought for the price it would come with lug nuts. Everyone else's adapters come with lug nuts. I know there cheap, just another thing I have to go get.

The only reason i am giving it 3 stars is because speedways customer service was great. This part didnt fit on the brake kit that the tech ordered to go with the wheel spacer so i had to machine it.

Your listing gives 5 on 5-1/2 for both bolt and hole patterns. Is this a typo? If not, there is no "adapting" provided by this part. I need an adapter to put 5 on 5-1/2 wire wheels on a trailer with 5 on 4-1/2 hubs. Do you have adapters for this application? Thanks, Mike.

I have 16" Ford wires that I am looking to mount to F100 hubs and flat faced brake drums. - spacers are needed to allow this brake swap to work with wire wheels. Will these spacers/adapters space out the wire wheel sufficiently and and also support the wire wheel properly? I noted they are machined with a step near the center bore, I assume this is to support the wire wheel properly? If this is the case, would it be correct to assume that the usual additional wire wheel supports are not then required? Please advise as I need the correct parts the 1st time..... thanks !

I have a pair of 21in ford wire wheels on a 57 chevy truck rear axle and drums re drilled and ran with long studs at 5on5.5 could i use this as a spacer rather than adapter? My studs are plenty long enough i just need a center spacer peice to reach out behind the wheel to support the center of the wires on the flat drums , looking for a one peice deal rather then buying spacers then the top adapter ring was hoping this would work

Is this a 5 on 4.5 adaptor to an early ford 5 on 5.5 wire wheel? What I don't see in the discription is the starting lug pattern. I'm putting a modern brake system drop I-beam front end on a 33 Ford Model B and what to use my existing 17 inch rim with a 5 on 5.5 inch bolt patern on a disk brake set up that has a 5 on 4.5 inch patern. What are my options?
