The threaded sleeve tries to rotate when you turn adjusting spanner nut. The recommended spanner wrench, which I purchased, is for square slot nut instead of round hole like these.

Simple instructions would be a plus for us simple minded. Worse part is the chrome is peeling off one spring right out of the box.

It works good for my application and it is simple to install. However, the assembly is not so good. It is very difficult to get the split ring on the shock that holds the spring cone. And when you do get on, it scores the outside of the shock paint and I'm sure if you have a chrome shock it will effect the life of the platting. I may not be installing the c-clip correctly but there are no instruction otherwise.
