I have this on a 385 sbc with a healthy solid lift cam with afr heads and 11:1 compression. It works great. Came with air bypass holes in the front throttle blades and I added the holley secondary adjustment to aid in a rich idle. My engine only makes 9-10 inches of vacuum at idle and I had to adjust my curb idle screw too far to maintain 1100 rpm idle which uncovered too much of the transition slot. My carb also came with a polished main body and bowls instead of one like in the picture .
