These covers are approximately 4.375" tall inside, nearest the intake side and 3.875" tall near the exhaust.

Nice covers

Heavy cast valve covers. Cleared my comp cams roller rockers with poly locks with room to spare, They have a descent polished finish. Seal very well. Look nice on the BBC.

Old school look...about it

Covers came in packaged nice, scratched up but I worked with that. Ive been a GM tech for 35 years....Ive always assumed the aftermarket knew what they were suposto fit. Guess what, After about 3 hrs of hogging out the Intake rocker clearance. they fit. doubling gaskets ect wont work with stock rockers. The thickness of the aluminum should have been in consideration when casting these covers. baffles cleared just fine. "Hub caps shouldn't be this hard to put on!"

I had to drill out the perimeter mounting holes on my BB 454 to the next drill size and still a tight fit for mounting, but once they are on they seal very good.

I contacted Speedway because I was having problems with the valve covers not fitting a 454 big block like they said with all stock components in it I talked to four or five different people that got shuffled around then an expert was supposed to call me I haven't heard from anybody. I am extremely disappointed in Speedway motors
