1964-1974 Big Block Chevy Long Tube Headers, AHC Coated

These do not fit 67-69 Camaro!

I dimpled these to clear the steering box, passenger side control arm and frame. But these were unsuitable for the listed application because they interfere with the steering travel. The car is a 68 Camaro with the correct engine frame mounts and factory power steering. Speedway refused to take the headers back because I dimpled them to fit. I could not tell that they were going to limit the steering travel until I made them fit. The "Tech Staff" insisted they were the correct part. Their suggestions were: Use headers with smaller tubing. Really? This is a 565 motor. They suggested that I buy a $700 pair of Doug"s headers, inferring that I should expect the inexpensive Speedway hearers I bought to have some fitment problems. I checked the Doug's part number they recommended on Summit Racing's site and those hit the steering box also. I purchased a set of Hedman Headers #66001 from Summit. These are 2" and fit perfectly with NO modifications and NO dimples. And They were $569.00 not $700! The next step is to contact the BBB and file a complaint against Speedway because regardless of the modifications I made to try and fit these, they are incorrect for the application they were sold as. Speedway is not interested in doing anything to make it right.

We thought the appearance was very bright as compared to other headers we have used in the past . We did like that the headers were already clearanced for the head bolts , most you have to grind on . Bolt holes lined up good . Glad to see the better gaskets were included instead of the paper ones . Overall very happy so far .
