Wilwood 140-10996 Details

Wilwood's new limited offset FDL Pro-Series Front Hub Kits for GM 1967-1969 F-Body and 1964-1974 A-Body vehicles offer disc brake upgrade solutions for both OEM Disc & Drum spindles. We have completely redesigned our Pro Series line of brake kits using a larger 11" rotor and new forged aluminum hubs with the express purpose of maintaining the factory wheel position.

This new kit widens the track by only +.19" from original drum brake position or narrows by -.31" from the original disc brake rotor assembly. Based on the venerable forged billet Dynalite caliper, these versatile kits are easily optioned to suit the braking requirements and style preferences for a daily driver, serious competition, or the most discriminating show enthusiast. Most vehicle applications require no modifications for installation, and provide plenty of clearance inside popular 15" wheels.

FDL Pro-Series kits can be used with either manual or power boost master cylinders. Kits come complete with calipers, rotors, hub assembly, brackets and hardware. Installation requires purchase of additional brake lines shown below.

11.00" Pro Series Brakes feature:

Our rotors are machined and fully e-coated, just like the rotor hats. This is a protectant coating the prohibits surface rust from forming on the exposed surfaces. Once the parts are installed and being bedded in, the brake pad friction and caliper pressure will remove the coating at the spot the brake pads touch. This will expose the silver iron material underneath.

The previous question about a 1967 Chevelle had this answer: "This disc brake kit is designed for use on disc brake spindles. It can be used on drum brake spindles by machining down the upper backing plate boss .610" and re-threading that boss. Also this kit requires drilling out the other bracket mount hole on the spindle and steering arm to 1/2"." The instructions provided only mention re-tapping one bolt hole and re-drilling another for 1964-1966 models however, and they make no mention of machining the backing plate. ??? Confused.
