These downflow aluminum radiators are for you guys that are building something a little different. They work great in many 30s, 40s & 50s medium width nose vehicles (be sure to measure before you order).
- Built-in 7-plate automatic transmission cooler
- Centered filler neck w/ hose nipple
- 2 rows of 1" tubes
Measurements are overall:
- 19-3/4" wide
- 27" tall to the top of the tank
- 28" tall overall (from the bottom to the top of the filler neck)
- 2-1/4" thick
- Top neck is 1-1/2" O.D.
- Lower neck is 1-3/4" O.D.
- Trans Cooler ports: 1/2"-20 inverted flare
- Core measures 18” wide x 22-1/4” tall

The first radiator leaked and speedway was good about replacing it . The second one came in a box that looked bad was wet and damaged. The radiator looked ok so l installed it in my 40 Ford ( because of the virus it took weeks to get) and pressure test it . At first it tested ok at 14 lb. but after a few drives it started to leak. I started this project in February and got the second radiator in September. Speedway was good at taking care of the problem. But they wanted me to buy a different one for $ 700.00 plus I would have to reengineering the installation. I wanted to drive my car ,the leak was small , I'll take care of the problem this spring!
