Machining hubs sometimes needed
A great looking rim, but a nasty surprise came inside the box in the form of a data sheet that advised that "some Ford hubs" have to be machined in order for the rims to fit. It turned out that my hubs -- standard and very common Mustang II units -- were among the "some Ford hubs" that needed [$] worth of shaving to accept the rims. It's all good now, but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time.

Using these on my 1937 Willys pickup. Have custom adapters so I can run disc brakes. Using Wilwood disc brake kit. So you get the old Gasser look but with modern braking capability. The purists knock them because they are not true spindle mount! DOESN'T MATTER TO ME!!

Internal diameter of ET wheels I am interested in a pair of ET wheels for the front of my 34 coupe but am concerned about the internal diameter of the hub. When machining the disc centre to fit the wheel does the spigot have to be 2.75 inches parallel all the way to the flange or should it taper as indicated on your diagram??
