Overall Assessment

This product is a gas tank for older model cars like the 1934 Ford Tudor. Noted for its ease of install, the tank increases fuel capacity significantly, which is a big plus for customers. However, some noted that the gas controls can be unreliable during tight turns if the tank isn't full, causing the gas gauge to swing. Moreover, discrepancies in the sending unit mounting pattern have resulted in necessary modifications for some. Despite these issues, customers praised the tank's fitting and the inclusion of all necessary hardware, which greatly facilitated the installation process. Many recognized it as a vital upgrade for their vehicles.

Purchased the above gas tank for my 1934 Ford Tudor. Install was good. Problem is the baffle does not control the gas in the tank. Make a tight left turn and engine dies do the lack of fuel. Gas gauge swings to empty. Tank has over 10 gals. It appears to make it work properly a full gas tank is needed at all times. not very satisfactory. Lot of questions, need answers. RGrimes

Rec'd as scheduled and all parts were there. Installed all parts including the sender I rec'd earlier with my new gauges. Will let you know how the tank installation turns out, once it is done. Looking forward to completion and the added fuel capacity. The current 11 gal. tank does not get you very far.

I got this tank to use in a 30 model A that was channeled so non standard mounting application, like the tank but the stewart warner fuel float assy (speedway part 665385B) did not match up to the pattern on the tank. Had to drill out holes on the float mechanism and elongate several to make fit. Not sure if tank or float at fault.

Tank fits perfect into my stock 1934 frame and bolted up. all hard ware and new sending unit fit very well.. I also wrapped the exhaust pipes with heat tape due to how close they were to the tank. This was a long awaited project that needed to be completed. THX. Ray

Do you have an in-tank fuel pump for this tank? Using for a flat head hot rod application and current external fuel pump I have need to be lower than tank. It will be lower but pulling from the top of the tank and I am not sure that will work ok (to effect initial priming of pump).
