The offset bushings saved me from having to buy a 16" rack

The steering rack that came with my kit was for a 15 1/2" mount crossmember, Mine is a 16" n center stock rack. I wasn't aware of the difference when I made the purchase. I was thrilled to find the offset bushing kit so I could use the rack with my stock crossmember. I still had to hog out the crossmember mounting holes about 1/16" on the inside of each hole. I didn't like having to do that but had little choice other than buying a 16" on center rack, but I would have been stuck with a 15 1/2" rack. Overall pleased but it took extra time and I didn't like having to hog out the holes.

Kinda fit...

It's meant to make a t-bird 15.5" rack fit on the older 16" M2. My M2 crossmember had the rack bolts welded in place. They were spot on 16" apart. The t-bird rack with the "standard" 15.5" bushings was spot on at 15.5". When I installed these bushings I could only get 15.875" on center. Even with some pressure, I couldn't get 16". I tried 3 different set of bushings and could never get 16". I ended up having to cut and drill out one of my welded nuts to get it to work.

The offsets in these bushings are 0.18 NOT 0.25. So you get 0.36 total mount offset NOT the 0.50 you need.
