These pieces, like rotors and calipers are used for many an aftermarket disc brake conversion kit, allowing the consumer to easily find caliper slide bolts, brake pads, and more for a quick repair to get their ride back on the road. Traditionally, these GM Mid-Size calipers have been a natural finish, but for those looking to create a statement with large window aftermarket wheels, we now offer these GM Mid-Size calipers in a durable powder coated finish.

Direct Replacement Fitment for Your GM Mid-Size Disc Brake System

Our powder coated GM brake calipers are made from the same heavy-duty cast iron material as the originals and feature a large 2.80-inch piston for strong and consistent braking performance. The slide bolt mounting center-to-center distance of 7-1/16-inches is maintained to ensure trouble-free installation on your GM Mid-Size pattern disc brake caliper mounting brackets. This allows you to upgrade your front disc brake kits with a GM Mid-Size caliper in black or red powder coat for appearance purposes. These calipers can also be used for rear disc brake conversions designed for the GM Mid-Size disc brake caliper that does not utilize an integral parking brake system.

Compatible with standard 11-inch to 11-3/4-inch diameter 1.00-inch-thick disc brake rotors, these GM brake calipers will directly replace your current bare finish GM Mid-Size calipers. For applications using .810-inch-thick rotors our disc brake pad spacer will ensure proper fitment. The caliper’s floating design requires a flexible brake hose connection, and we make that connection easy with a 7/16-20 SAE threaded fluid port that includes new crush washers for stress-free installation. If your brake lines aren’t already a 7/16-20 banjo end you may require new brake hoses. For those running AN -3 brake hoses our banjo bolt kit will get you all set up with the right connections. The bleeder screw maintains the OEM GM Metric 10-1.5MM spec, making it easy to find replacement bleeder screws.

These GM brake calipers are sold individually by side and we recommend new caliper slide bolts that eliminate the factory style slide bolt bushing and provide less caliper flex. The included caliper piston and seal can take the abuse of racing (these calipers are powder coated versions of our IMCA approved GM Mid-Size calipers, and as such can be used for those IMCA racing classes where allowed), which means you can run race ready or street-friendly D52 brake pads depending on your application needs.
