Speedway Motors 41869510 Details

These Chevy/GM LS engine headers feature 18 gauge mild steel designed for many racing applications where LS1 engines are used. Kit includes eight mandrel-bent tubes, two pre-formed collectors, two extra-thick oval port flanges, gaskets, and bolts.

Designed for the seasoned, hands-on enthusiast, weld up headers will require some cutting, fitting and welding.

Got the box of bends. Started with #7 cylinder worked my way up to #1 followed the frame angle so a but of trimming on lenght from cylider head out. But slow and easy had both sides done in about 5 hours. Worked out really good

This is a nice kit. Design and prebuild your headers from 1.750 pvc. Transfer to pipe. Be sure you measure 3 times because while making mistakes in pvc is cheap mistakes in steel can be frustrating. Watch youtube for an example of custom header build. The get you some header paint with the ceramic coating and youll be happy.

This kit is excellent for the price. Please don't expect to be getting a high dollar kit, it's not that. The bends are decent, but not the quality you get when purchasing individual bends at $20 each. You can see and feel the clamp marks from the bender. That said, I was able to build a complete set of headers while only having to purchase one additional bend per side. This kit would probably work near perfectly if installing in a truck or other larger engine bay application. I built mine for a '67 Nova/LS1/4L80e setup that uses a custom front clip and 285/30R18 front tires. I don't have an abundance of extra room to work with. The flanges are true and sufficiently thick, the collectors fit well, and everything welded up nicely. I would highly recommend this kit as long as you have reasonable expectations on what is included. I'd also recommend purchasing some v-band clamps (or other flanges) at the same time as they are about the only thing not included. Happy building!

From the minute i recieved the shipment i was already impressed with the quality of everything. All of the tubing fits together well and lines up where it should at the collector and the flange. At less than $200 dollars this product is more than worth the price,. Even with me having it welded together at a local shop, i have a completely custom set of headers and have only spent a total of $350 dollars. Good luck finding a shop to build you a completely custom set of headers how YOU want them for that price, you wont. I will definately order these again if the time arises, and will recommend if i think they could work for someone else.
