The Flathead was designed to run on fuel with high levels of lead, but even with leaded fuel, the stock valves will eventually hammer the seats out, which will close up the valve lash and leave your valves hanging open...that is if you don't seize a valve to the guides first!

Remember what year your engine was built and how fatigued the valve train components are. Henry may have built them right with the technology he had available then, but this is now and we have the modern components you need.

These Flathead Ford valve guides are heat treated to be compatible with today's low-lead fuels. Fits 1932-53 engines. If using in a 1932-48 engine, you will have to use 1949-53 style retainers, keepers and valves.

What is the inside diameter? And, Do you fits #91015311 intake valve?

What is the extent of the machine work that must be done to use the .060 Valves and valve seats? Interested in the .060 hardened valve seats. Are the valve seats removable in my 59AB block? Suspect 46-48 vintage block, bell housing is molded to block. Bore is 3 and 3/16. How do I remove the existing seats? or how does a machine shop remove? Are there special cutter/dies that must be used to insert the .060 valve seats? How do you know if the existing valve seats need to be replaced? Some pitting on the existing seats but not deep. Thanks for your help, Don Garlits recommended you folks.

valve guide press I am wanting to install press fit valve guides. The OEM guides measure 1.030" O.D. would like some guides that have about .001" press. If these guides measure 1.032". I would like to buy a set.
