We know racing is your passion, it is ours too. However, we also know all too well that racing is not easy on the wallet. Far too often, by the time the racing budget is used on the major bits like driveline, tires, and so forth, there is not much left in the piggy bank for safety equipment like helmets, fire suits, and racing belts. We believe these items are just as critical to winning a race as having that new race-spec carb or a fresh set of tires, which is why we continually add to our Speedway Motors line of safety gear so that you have a budget-friendly option for staying safe on the track.

Built to Handle the Stresses of Any Racing Venue

Our Speedway Motors 5-point harness is just what you need for proper retention in your race car. Crafted from premium nylon webbing and double stitched in all critical areas, our racing seat belts are a great value while providing SFI 16.1 certification (dated labels sewn into shoulder, lap, and sub straps) so that you will pass inspection without issue. Built as a pull-down configuration where the strap ends are pulled down, or away, from the adjusters, makes belt adjustment quick and easy for the driver.

The racing harness uses 3-inch-wide lap and shoulder belts while the single anti-submarine strap is 2 inches wide. The shoulder harnesses feature a narrower upper section for use with a head and neck restraint. The shoulder harnesses are a generous 55 inches in length, providing plenty of material to reach your harness crossbar or other approved mounting position. This model harness features an easy to use cam lock system that makes attaching each section of belt to the central cam lock latch quick and simple. Grab a harness strap and push it into the cam lock latch until it locks in place, then proceed to the next belt until all are attached, then tighten your belts as you normally would. Disconnecting the belts takes a simple twist of the oversized release knob (it will release in either direction).

Cam lock harness mechanisms are often only found on much more expensive restraints but knowing how much safer and easier these are to use we wanted to bring a cam lock harness to our racing customers that was affordable with great features. Maintenance is generally nothing more than blowing light dust and dirt out of the mechanism to keep the latch from feeling “gritty” with use, but any major dirt ingestion needs to be fully cleaned and the cam lock lubricated to prevent latching or releasing issues.

Your Choice of Bolt-in or Wrap Around Installation Included

We made our 5-point harness easy to install in your race car too. The racing harness can be installed as either a wrap around or bolt-in configuration and we even provide the bolt-in harness tabs with the harness! So now you can easily configure your new Speedway Motors 5-point racing harness and install it easily no matter the mounting type at the seat/floor and cage/harness bar locations. The mounting tabs for bolt-in use that are included are 2-inch (instructions are included on how to fold the 3-inch belts for proper mounting). Alternatively, you can convert your 5-point racing harness to a clip-in racing harness using our clip-in harness conversion kit if you prefer quick, easy removal of your racing belts.

To prevent installation hassle and delays we offer our seat belt installation kit to aid in your 5-point harness install if you are planning a bolt-in installation. Each kit will attach one section of the harness (lap, shoulder, or sub), so order three kits if you are bolting in all five points of your harness. Our optional sternum protector is a highly recommended addition that holds your shoulder harness together in the advent of an impact. Available in all matching colors too!
