Return PolicyWith traditional dropped base air cleaners air enters the filter and then changes direction multiple times to get through the carburetor, this causes turbulence, friction, and heat. The flat air cleaner eliminates this turbulance and provides a smooth transition to the carburator. The flat air cleaner bottom moves the air cleaner farther away from the engine heat, so air comes in, stays cooler, and just rolls down into the carburetor.
For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Customers appreciate the product for its superior design and function, in particular, its success in solving height issues without sacrificing airflow, making the product highly usable. They value its fit and function in limited space, pointing at the practicality of its thin, flat material. However, some users noticed paint imperfections and a minor hole. Despite these issues, the flat design, material quality, and function make it a preferred choice over competitors.

So I changed over to a Sniper 2 and my current air cleaner top was just a tad too high. This fixed the problem without sacrificing airflow with a shorter filter

Fit and function are excellent. I did note some paint imperfections and an approximately 1/8" hole on rim of cover (apparently for hanging during powder coating which can be seen in the product images). Material is thin and mostly flat so easily bent. Just be gentle. This flat design worked perfectly in the limited space I have between top of velocity stacked air cleaner and the closed hood.
