Details

Heavy duty H-beam connecting rods for S/B Chevy. Full floating wrist pin in silicon bronze bushing. Precision bolt bushing to positively locate cap. Features 8640 PCE 7/16" cap screws.

Weight matched sets of 8. Available in 5.7" or 6.0" lengths.

For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). 86 camaro 305 bored with standard crank . 1 of the rod cap bolts hit the block so theyre close but NOT a direct fitup for 305 sbc

I got the 5.7" rods which were within a gram with 0.002" clearance. The casting and machine work is very good. The cap screws are very strong & seemed to take the 63 ft/lbs torque no problem. The bushing to positively locate cap is a nice feature.

I am goingto use these rods in a 383 I purchased the 6 in H-beam rods. I have an SRP dome piston that weighs 426 grms the wrist pin is 128 grns plus ring wt. these will be pulled on with a 3.75 in Eagle crank and I was planning on spinning this motor to 7300-7500 RPM will they survive?
