Verified
The nomex helmet skirt adds a great amount of protection and security. The velcro is easy to install and the hood is of sufficient length to stay in the firesuit. The skirt adds another layer of protection from fire and does a great job of keeping the dust out. The only downside is that it makes the helmet a lot hotter and no fresh air comes in from under the helmet and the visor is more easily fogged. Also, it does muffle some of the noise from outside the helmet which could keep you from hearing important noises (engine noise, competitor alongside you, etc) However, I think the added protection is worth the slight hassel.
