Overall Assessment

Customers offer positive feedback on the quality, ease of installation, and improved ride comfort of the QA1 suspension kit. It's appreciated as the best money spent on suspension, with some noting great results even without professional mechanic skills. The kit fits well, with one customer commenting on how it accommodated large exhaust and wheel sizes without issue. Users also mentioned a significant enhancement in ride quality and the added benefit of adjustable ride height. They recommend getting the needle bearing kit and proper adjustment wrenches for the best experience. Overall, compared to other products, QA1 stands out as a preferred choice.

Great bolt in kit. Might be a little too firm for a stock '64-65 A-body though.

Not a mechanic by trade. Followed instructions and videos, no problems with installation. Only modification I had to make/remove was the exhaust around axle and the rear tips. Have a magnaflow 3 inch exhaust, so easier to remove to make more room to work. I took my time and it only took about 3 hours, no lift or air tools. I even have 15x10 with a 5.5 inch back space, no issues, plenty of room. Good job QA1.

Installed on a 72 Chevelle SS with a big block. The install was easy overall. Instructions say to attach the shock to the top bracket then position. Seems they believe you can not get a 3/4 wrench on the bolt. I used a stubby (cut an old wrench if you have to) on the nut nearest the tank and 3/4 offset wrench on the bolt head. Just seemed easier to me then holding the shock and trying to place the small bolts from the top. Holding the shock, feeding the bolt through and starting the nut on the bottom in such a tight spot seems more difficult. The shock and brackets are very nice. All the holes lined up. The ride quality is greatly improved. I am able to fine tune the ride height easily. Buy the needle bearing kit and correct adjustment wrenches; you will be glad you did.
