QA1 5Q Series Custom Valved Shock, GM Mid & Full Size Front Short

Formerly known as 51 and 53 series shocks, the 5Q series is a large body steel shock. This is the GM Mid & Full Size style with stock mount ends. 

Small details add up to provide great overall performance. The black zinc coating ensures a very consistent finish, creating a tight seal every time. The scalloped base loop increases clearances in tight areas like upper control arms and shock mounts. Pistons are made of high-quality raw aluminum, minimizing variations that can be found in anodized parts. You can valve the shock with bleed shims or drill out bleeds to maximize tunability.

Example Part Number: 81-1-3-8

81 Series, 1 = Front mount, 3 = 3-valve compression, 8 = 8-valve rebound.

Example Part Number: 81-2-4-4

81 Series, 2 = Rear mount, 4 = 4-valve compression, 4 = 4-valve rebound.
