QA1 5Q Series Custom Valved Shock, 9in. Stroke, Twin Tube

Formerly known as 51 and 53 series shocks, the 5Q series is a large body steel shock. This is the 9" version with bearing ends. 

Small details add up to provide great overall performance. The black zinc coating ensures a very consistent finish, creating a tight seal every time. The scalloped base loop increases clearances in tight areas like upper control arms and shock mounts. Pistons are made of high-quality raw aluminum, minimizing variations that can be found in anodized parts. You can valve the shock with bleed shims or drill out bleeds to maximize tunability.

To make your selection process easier, here's an example of how to interpret your shocks using our part numbering system:

Example Part Number: 81-1-3-8

81 Series, 1 = Front mount, 3 = 3-valve compression, 8 = 8-valve rebound.

Example Part Number: 81-2-4-4

81 Series, 2 = Rear mount, 4 = 4-valve compression, 4 = 4-valve rebound.
