Powermaster 9508 French Block Flathead V8 Starter
Automatic and Manual Transmission Type, Mini Starter Size, Natural, Clockable
Your original flathead starter is tired from years of service. This Powermaster XS starter is just the ticket for faster starting and increased clearance for French-made flathead blocks. It cranks out 200 ft. lbs. of torque and is designed for use with French-made flathead blocks or aftermarket flywheels.

For French Block/Aluminum Flywheels
- Fits a French made block or a USA made block with a Speedway 910-15625 aluminum flywheel only. (This starter is set in 1/4" farther than a normal starter, such as Powermaster 910-67470)
- DOES NOT fit a USA made Flathead or a USA made Flathead with a stock flywheel.
- Drive Depth: 1.711" (from the mounting flange to the tip of the drive fully extended)
- Weight: 8 lbs.
Powermaster's warranty is one year from the date of purchase on all street rod components, and 90 days for any component use for an off road or race application.
Powermaster will provide technical support regarding warranty claims and inquiries directly to the purchaser to help resolve any warranty claims or necessary technical support for warranty resolution. Component or components can be returned to Speedway Motors as long as the product is still under warranty.
All customer service inquiries pertaining to warranty and defect claims are to be handled by Speedway Motors if under one year street or 90 days race. If the product is out of warranty please contact Powermaster direct to discuss their repair and return program.
