Our standard power steering hose assemblies are an inexpensive alternative to the more costly stainless steel braided hose kits. This set adapts an aftermarket 1982-1988 T-Bird/Cougar type rack or our 91034340-POW rack to a GM style pump. Return hose will normally need to be cut to length.
The pressure line in this kit has a 5/8"-18 male inverted flare fitting at the power steering pump end along with a -6AN to an 9/16"-18 (14mm-1.5) male O-ring fitting on the rack end. Note this is an O-ring style sealing design, and not an inverted flare sealing style. It also includes an adaptor so that it can work with an O-ring style (metric) pump fitting. We suggest using power steering pump910-32908 or910-32922-FORD.
Kit includes:
- Adapter for the GM pump, to allow it to work with both metric O-ring and standard inverted flare style threads on the power steering pump fitting.
- The included fittings that will install into the aftermarket 1982-1988 T-bird type rack which are 9/16"-18 (14mm-1.5) O-ring (high pressure) and 5/8"-18 (16mm-1.5) O-ring (low pressure return) with the smaller O-ring fitting hose end being the pressure side for the rack.

Excellent quality
They were a perfect fit for my Thunderbird rack and mating to my newer General Motors power steering pump. The adapter bushing was included so as it would fit a newer style small General Motors power steering pump. The only negative that I could see is that some people may need the hose to be able to swivel because both of the fittings on each end of the pressure hose must stay oriented the same way because of the way it's manufactured of not having some type of swivel. And if you have an unusual circumstance there is no way to twist the hose so it wouldn't meet your requirement to fit period however for me it was not an issue

does not fit my application
I have a 36 ford with gen 1 chevy engine, saginaw pump and mustang 2 rack and pinion. I bought all the parts to replace the system from speedway and this hose kit was designed to go with those parts. When I tested fitment of the hoses, the connection to the pump was facing the wrong way. I have to loop the hoses toward the front of my car due to clearance issues, If I was able to loop them to the back, it may have worked. I think it would be a good idea to list the cars these hoses have been installed in so this issue does not come up

The pressure hose fitting that connects to the power steering pump is 90 degrees off. So I have a twist in the hose. Maybe it'll relieve when heated up at running temperature? Hopefully it doesn't split. I guess I didn't think about asking about a replacement, till this survey was sent. But if possible I would like that to happen.
