The Max Papis Innovations (MPI) D4-15-XL D4 Steering Wheel represents the most advanced version of MPI’s dirt racing steering wheel lineup. Originally inspired by the innovative D Model created with legendary racer Donny Schatz, the D4-15-XL builds upon previous D2 and D3 iterations to deliver enhanced safety, ergonomics, and performance. It incorporates MPI’s trusted Safety™ structure with energy-absorbing inner construction, helping reduce upper-body impact during high-force racing incidents, while the injected foam core minimizes vibration and improves long-duration comfort.

A standout feature of the D4-15-XL is its redesigned extra-large ergonomic grip. Constructed with textured polyurethane foam and partially wrapped in MPI’s new Hypergrip material, it provides superior control and consistent handling—even during one-handed driving. The thoughtful design reduces driver fatigue while maintaining excellent tactile feedback. The grip is finished with distinctive MPI Orange™ cross stitching, blending durability with a bold racing aesthetic.

Beyond comfort and control, the wheel’s updated spoke structure enhances both safety and style. Rounded edges reduce potential hazards, while the CNC-machined aluminum spokes feature a striking black-and-silver anodized finish. Each wheel is individually serial-numbered for traceability and includes a lightweight center pad for added protection.
