    MSD 8384 Details

    For demanding Ford racing applications, MSDs Pro-Billet Dual Pick-Up Distributors are the answer. Each distributor features a billet housing that is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum using computer controlled CNC machining technology. Additional features include a fully adjustable mechanical advance consisting of a hardened advance cam, chro-moly weights and weight pins that are TIG-welded to the advance plate. The advance assembly can also be locked-out with no welding. Two high output magnetic trigger pick-ups are bolted to the billet base of the distributor so you can have a secondary ignition trigger source for a backup ignition and coil.

    • Dual magnetic pickups are placed 180° apart to provide a complete redundant ignition system for racing applications
    • Easy-to-adjust mechanical advance with supplied springs and stop bushings
    • Advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQ coated for friction reduction
    • Advance weight pins are staked and tig welded to the plate
    • Nylon pads ensure smooth operation of the advance weights
    • Mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems
    • CNC machined billet aluminum housing and billet aluminum base
    • Steel shaft is QPQ coated and guided by a sealed ball bearing
    • Will not accept a vacuum advance canister
    • Supplied with Cap-A-Dapt distributor cap and rotor
    • Must be used with an MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series Ignition
    • No CARB Exemption Order Number
