The 11A-9349 Fuel Pump Rebuild Kit is a practical solution for restoring original Ford single-action fuel pumps used on 1933-1953 Ford 6-cylinder and Flathead V8 applications. Designed to service a range of early Ford pumps, including versions with glass sediment bowls, this kit helps bring worn fuel pump components back into proper working condition while supporting a more authentic restoration.
This rebuild kit includes key service items such as the brass screen and bowl gasket for glass sediment bowl pumps, along with the cover gasket for the more common 2-inch diameter larger steel bowl pumps used from 1936-1941 and in many aftermarket replacements. It is a useful option for keeping your vintage fuel delivery system operating reliably while maintaining period-correct hardware.
Application details are important with this kit. The rocker arm components are intended only for 1933-1948 pumps and are not compatible with later 1948-1953 pump designs. It also does not include the internal brass screen for steel bowl pumps, which typically must be cleaned and reused, and it does not include the cover gasket for early 1933-1935 pumps with the smaller 1-3/4-inch steel bowl. Sold individually, this kit is a solid choice for careful rebuilds on classic Ford fuel pumps.

Customers appreciate the product's usability and high-quality materials, reinforcing that it operates as promised. Some mentioned a primary issue tied to the diaphragm's incorrect indexing in relation to the lifter shaft; this could lead to rapid failures and difficulty aligning without damaging it. However, despite these issues, customers would purchase the product again, indicating its favourable comparison to alternatives. It's clear that the product's positive qualities outweigh any challenges encountered.

I would buy again and intend to
Parts appear to be great quality, especially the drive parts. The diaphragm holes, however, seem to be in the wrong place--it says on the box Nissan and Toyota so perhaps the thing interchanges. Keep the old diaphragm as a pattern to punch new holes

Poor Quality Assurance Check
It all looks good and well made. But...the diaphragm was not correctly indexed relative to the lifter shaft. The choice is to repunch the screw holes or try to twist the diaphragm under the center flange. If not correctly indexed, the lifter arm can't be engaged. If by chance you get it on, it will twist the diaphragm causing rapid failure. The flanges are pressed tight, so it's nearly impossible to reindex the diaphragm without damaging it. Putting new screw holes into the diaphragm is a little tricky and requires a hollow punch. I ultimately ended up buying a complete pump assembly.

This is my first restoration project. I was gifted two 1937 Ford pickups for Christmas. Both complete but one more of a donor truck. I will be using Speedway quite a lot once I get started.

Kit was pretty good in my opinion. I didn't have an issue getting the diaphragm and screws to line up. It wasn't perfect but worked fine.
