Lokars Hi-Tech TH400 Electric Kickdown is cable-operated. Electric switch is housed in a billet aluminum box that mounts with transmission pan bolts.* Kit includes "U-Cut-to-Fit" outer housing in stainless steel. This Turbo 400 kickdown is designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable, aluminum fittings and stainless steel inner wire and stainless mounting bracket. This design eliminates mounting unsightly electrical switches on carburetor, manifold, or near throttle pedal. Complete installation instructions included in kit.
Can be mounted in a variety of locations within 48" of carburetor.

I put this kickdown switch on a turbo 400 trans that's in a 53 Chevy belair. It had no passing gear and this switch brought her to life. Brought the 454 to life on the hiway. Excellent quality part that I really like. I did use some silicon on the cover and wire entry due to it being mounted under the car. Well worth the price.

This micro switch and cable unit makes for an easy installation on any street rod. I could have spent hours machining a switch box and locating cable and ends, but the expense would have out weighed the purchase price. This unit has been in service now for eight years and never required an adjustment. Though the milled box is hidden under the car body, it is viewable from underneath and shows as a detail item that makes for a great car.
