Lokar's "U-Cut-to-Fit" Braided Stainless C4 Transmission Kickdown Cable is designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable – not to be confused with ordinary brake hose. Kickdown features aluminum fittings with ferrule to eliminate frayed cable ends.

The cable is a relatively easy install and works well. Lokar recommends you mount the cable down with some zip ties, but you have to call their tech line for that. I would also recommend this or the cable loosens over time. Additionally the kit requires a bracket and spring kit you will almost definitely need. I installed this on a 55 ford F100 with a 302 small block ford and a Holley Street Avenger carburetor.

I will be putting the on a Ford 289 engine with a C-4 transmission, the engine has a 4 barrel Holly carburetor, is the a bracket I should buy to mount to the carburetor, and does this come with the transmission hookup bracket
