Hooker Headers 2452HKR Details

Hooker Competition headers offer the best value in the high performance header market. Designed for the value-conscious buyer who is running either a stock or mildly-modified engine, Hooker Competition headers offer premium features at a very competitive price. Made of durable 16 gauge mild steel tubing, the Hooker Competition header design utilizes a long transition collector to reduce back pressure and increase exhaust flow. A perfect sealing surface is assured with the 5/16" machined flanges, with welded O-ring seals. Experience has proven that this flange size is ideal to maintain header integrity and be pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Tubing is mandrel-bent to maintain metal strength and provide consistent tube diameter at radii to maximize performance. Hooker Competition headers have a standard finish that features a heat-cured, high-heat-resistant paint. Optionally, the famous Hooker Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating is available.

Installed in my Grandads '65 C 10 with little modification. Only complaint is that it gets a little tough installing #7 spark plug, but no big deal.

Fits great, clears all engine mounts, brackets and sparkplugs. I do wish they were shorter on the down tube part of headers. That would give is more ground clearance on a lowered truck.

Would look into headman or someone else for a good header , Hooker sends a bunch of brackets you don't need for a 71 Chevy truck , but the header does fit fair with the frame being cut in a few places . If your fenders and cab is on you cant notch the frame , we was lucky we are building ground up restore

I've purchased and talked to numerous techs who guaranteed headers would fit and sent them back. These Hooker headers were a good fit. Only change I recommend is to use Allen head bolts. The hex head bolts won't allow a socket or wrench to fit. Bolts are too close to tubes in a couple places. Look great once installed
