    2-PC LS "CHEVROLET" SCRIPT VALVE COVERS - BLACK MACHINED FINISH

    Cast Aluminum LS Valve Covers with Coil-Mounting Base & Integrated Coil Cover

    Holley's new 2-Piece LS valve covers are a great way to update the look of your LS engine without the use of complicated adapter systems or the hassle of remote coil relocation. These modular LS valve covers feature an OE height, internally baffled LS valve cover base with integrated coil mounts for popular Gen I and Gen V style LS coil bodies, and a "Chevrolet" branded overcover that hides the unsightly LS coils and messy wiring harness - allowing the full performance benefits of coil-on-cover ignition setups without the robotic styling. Each modular coil cover features a prominent vintage "Chevrolet" logo that matches various other GM licensed Holley products. The coil cover also features cast-in provisions for the spark plug boots and coil wiring harness so no extensions or custom wiring is required.

    Each 2-Piece LS valve cover set includes a low-profile billet oil fill cap, hardware and spacers for mounting both versions of LS coil bodies, and 12-point dress up hardware and rubber grommets for the coil covers. These modular LS valve covers are available in 5 unique finishes: natural cast, polished, satin black, factory orange, and gloss red (black, factory orange and gloss red sets feature machined fins).

    I have several LS engines that I'm building for my projects, I ordered these as sort of a test to see if they add value. These are expensive valve covers but well worth the price! They are very well made and they are really beautiful! Very impressive!!

    Bought these for my 5.7 swapped 67 C10 & they really do improve the under hood appearance over the stock look. They are well made & fairly easy to install. However, there are a couple of negatives. First, the lack of coil options. I'm not sure how Holley settled on the very first LS coils or the latest, but not be able to use the most popular & readily available 99-07 truck coils. I actually had a set of the later coils on my truck, but due to the fact they mount at an angle, the cover would not go on because of it hitting the firewall on the passenger side. So I had to purchase a set of LS1 coils. This brings up problem 2, oil fill cap. With the late coils that mount at an angle, you can access the oil fill cap on the driver side after removing the cover. However, with the LS1 coils that mount straight, the number 1 & number 8 coils mount directly over the cap, which makes you have to remove a coil to do something as simple as change the oil. That's just inconvenient. With that being said, I do like them a lot & will probably buy another set for my 5.3 swapped 87 GMC.
