Stop Fighting Your Engine Stand, Use Our BlockDock™ Adapter to Make Mounting Your Ford Easy

If you’ve never had the fun of learning how to use an engine stand to mount a Ford engine to, you’re in for some frustration. You see, the typical engine stand is universal in design with four adjustable mounting ears to attach the engine block to the stand’s rotating head. This allows an engine stand to work, theoretically, with any engine block, from an old truck’s inline-six to that modern overhead cam engine you’re swapping into your hot rod. The issue is those four mounting ears don’t always line up the best with the engine’s bellhousing bolt pattern for a secure and safe mounting solution. Or it throws the engine off balance, making it hard to rotate on the stand. Lastly, there’s the frustration of wasting time trying to find the correct length Ford engine stand bolts to secure the engine to the stand (because the factory bellhousing bolts are often too short).

Our solution to this common problem is a BlockDock™ billet CNC machined aluminum plate with the full bellhousing pattern machined into it for the most popular Ford V8 engines, including small block (289/302/351W/351C) and the modern Modular/Coyote/Godzilla engines. Slotted mounting points are provided to mate up to the typical four mounting ear slots/holes on an engine stand. This saves the expense of buying a specific Ford engine cradle by making the universal one you already own work for the V8 Ford application you need. We include 2-inch tubular spacers to provide clearance for an installed flexplate or flywheel, and we include all necessary metric 10mm engine stand bolts for the plate to attach to your Modular/Coyote/Godzilla engine block, and traditional 7/16-inch SAE fasteners for small block Fords. Fasteners to mount the adapter plate to your engine stand (once you’ve removed the engine stand’s mounting ears) are not included. We suggest 2-inch long 1/2-13 bolts with nuts if your engine stand’s original bolts are not long enough.

Storage is provided right on the plate itself with threaded holes for your Ford engine stand bolts, so you’ll never waste time looking for your SBF engine stand bolts ever again. Your engine will be safer installed with our plate between your stand and engine block. No more flexing or bent engine stand ears, no more only using three of your stand’s mounting ears because you can’t get all four of them lined up to your block’s bolt holes, and no more of your engine being “top heavy” on the stand, making it almost impossible to turn over. Our BlockDock™ Ford engine cradle mounting plate solves all these problems, making your SBF engine stand safer to use and more secure, even with a heavier big block engine adapted to it.
