Stop Fighting Your Engine Stand, Use Our BlockDock™ Adapter Plate to Make Mounting Your LS Easy

If you’ve never had the fun of learning how to use an engine stand to mount a Chevy LS engine to you’re in for some frustration. You see, the typical engine stand is universal in design with four adjustable mounting ears to attach the engine block to the stand’s rotating head. This allows an engine stand to work, theoretically, with any engine block, from an old truck inline six to that modern overhead cam engine you’re swapping into your hot rod. The issue is those four mounting ears don’t always line up the best with the engine’s bellhousing bolt pattern for a secure and safe mounting solution. Or it throws the engine off balance, making it hard to rotate on the stand. Lastly, we’re always wasting time trying to find the correct length engine stand bolts to secure the engine to the stand (because the factory bellhousing bolts are often too short).

Our solution to this common problem is our BlockDock™ billet CNC machined aluminum plate with the full LS bellhousing pattern machined into it (which also just so happens to be the same pattern for small block and big block Chevrolet engines too, so we have provided that bellhousing hardware as well) along with slotted mounting points to mate up to the typical four mounting ear slots on an engine stand. This saves the expense of buying a specific LS engine stand by making the universal one you already own work for the LS application. We include 1-1/2-inch tubular spacers to provide clearance for an installed flexplate or flywheel, and we include all necessary engine stand bolts for the plate to attach to your LS or SBC/BBC engine. Fasteners to mount the adapter to your stand, after removal of the stand’s mounting ears, are included as well to provide you everything you need to get your engine mounted safely.

Storage is provided right on the plate itself with threaded holes for your engine stand bolts, so you’ll never waste time looking for your LS engine stand bolts ever again. Your engine will be safer installed with our plate between your stand and engine block. No more flexing or bent engine stand ears, no more only using three of your stand’s mounting ears because you can’t get them all lined up to your block’s bolt holes, and no more of your engine being “top heavy” on the stand, making it almost impossible to turn over. Our BlockDock™ LS engine stand mounting plate solves all these problems, making your engine stand safer to use and more secure.

Its worth the price compared to others found elsewhere

I am using this Speedway Motors Chevy LS/SB Engine mounting plate with a Harbor freight 1500 lbs crank driven engine stand. The bolt slots with both plate and engine will NOT line up but with a good drill and better drill bit. It will works. I recommend to drill the plate on the Daytona engine stand itself if you plan to use the same combo as mine and not this aluminum backing plate.

Great product, but a little more thought needs to be put in

It's a great product gives you your location to put the bolts for storage or other thread types, but I had to drool new mounting holes in the plate due to my stand boat holes were just a little off not sure if it's a problem with my interest or your plate, but that's what has to be done

I primarily work on LS and SBC/BBC engines and this one plate works with all of them and comes with the metric bolts for the LS/LT and SAE bolts for the SBC/BBC. I especially like the threaded holes that hold the bellhousing bolts.
