Details

This Hilborn-style scoop is just the finishing touch for that blown or tunnel ram engine. This air cleaner scoop is designed to be used with two 4 barrel dual quad carbs with a 5-1/8" neck, but it can be used on single 4 barrel applications if the scoop will be above the distributor and is centered over the carb.

Available in:

  • Plain - raw, unfinished casting
  • Black - wrinkle coated
  • Polished

    Approximate measurements are 20" long, 9-1/2" wide and 6" tall. Includes air filters, mounting plates and hardware.

Note: Carb center spacing can be no wider than 9-1/4".

Has 'The Look'

I needed something to put on my old school '26 Model T, staying with the classic style, but not shiny nor billet. The '26 is all steel and all Ford except for the .030" over, 11:1, 440 Wedge and 727 manual valve-bodied Torqueflight. I have a number of items I've procured from my friends at Speedway on this thing but this has been my favorite addition. Superb construction, exact fit and easy instillation.....several finishes available but the textured black was just what I always wanted!

Purchased this product.

Purchased, I am delighted with the fit and finish. It was pakaged and padded very well for shipment. But, When I opened it up it has a Big dent in the right rear corner. Everyone said send it back, But thats not Me. I'll make due, Doesn't look real bad, But for what I paid, I think it should have been Perfect.

This scoop was absolutely perfect for my project. I was trying to build a Gasser style car that looked as thought it had been in a terrible crash. In fact I wanted the scoop to look like it had survived basically intact but as if it had came off the engine and skidded down the drag strip for 2 or 3 hundred yards. Bouncing off the walls and the tarmac just before coming to a rest and getting ran over by the Safety Safari Tractor. You caught some where underneath it and drug all the way back to the starting line area. I just wanted it look crazy rough and damaged that way when anyone looked at it they would say, "WOW!" what the hell happened your scoop. And I could reply it was the only piece that survived a 200 mph crash and fire. If that is what you are looking for to place on your hot rod, rat rod, or gasser, THIS THING IS PERFECT!

I have an Edelbrock high rise, two Edelbrock 4 barrels, and Speedway alternator mounted high on the left side. I do not have a tunnel ram. I'm concerned that the scoop will hit the distributor and the alternator. Please advise
