Allows for Installation of Bigger Engines Into G-Comp Subframes

It’s hard to beat a Speedway Motors G-Comp Suspension to infuse some modern high-performance handling into a classic muscle car. G-Comp was designed from the ground up to transform a classic muscle car into a corner carver, and with the addition of the Universal G-Comp Suspension Kits, there’s almost no end to the possible applications that can benefit from a G-Comp performance infusion.

One component of the G-Comp’s high-performance design is the splined sway bar, and on some subframes, the sway bar is positioned above the rails of the subframe. This is great for ground clearance, but can pose a problem to engine accessory drives and larger engines. We’ve installed countless GM LS engines and Small block Chevy’s into our house G-Comp mule cars with no clearance issues. But the variety of applications that we’re now seeing these suspensions used in inspired us to open up the door to a wider range of powerplants as well. This Sway Bar Relocation Kit is designed to allow longer engines like big block Chevys to fit in G-Comp subframes without interference between the accessory drive and the sway bar. This kit will also open the door to more accessory drive and serpentine kit options.

Complete Sway Bar Relocation Kit

The G-Comp Sway Bar Relocation Kit includes everything needed to move the sway bar over 2” forward. It also moves the bar up by 2-5/8” to clear the subframe on some applications. Included in the kit are precision machined aluminum blocks with Delrin bushings that mount to the stock G-Comp sway bar bolt holes. Also included are longer end links to keep geometry as it should be for maximum performance.

Fits G-Comp Suspensions with High-Mount Sway Bar

Not all G-Comps have the sway bar above the frame rails. It’s all about keeping the arms out of the way of the biggest front tires that can be squeezed under the car, so some designs do not require the high-mount bar. This Sway Bar Relocation Kit was designed to work with those that do, and they include:

This sway bar relocation kit WILL NOT work with ’62-’67 Nova kits or G-Comp Universal Front Suspension Kits in 56-inch and 58-inch track widths as they use a low-mounted sway bar.

This sway bar relocation kit is also NOT designed to be used with any G-Comp G-Comp X Front Suspension Kit.
