Speedway Motors 91632007 Details

Flame cut steel upper steering arm for '37-'48 Ford spindles (with 3-3/8" mount centers). This design is available in 6-1/4" or 7-3/4" lengths. The longer 7-3/4" arms permit a tighter left turn when using large diameter front tires or front wheels with a deep reverse, and it also slows the steering rate for greater control. Tapered end accepts 11/16" tie rod ends.

NOTE: Upper steering arms allow the attachment of a drag link to the LH (driver's side) spindle. The arms attach with bolts through the upper 2 backing-plate-mounting holes on spindle.

Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the high-quality, well-made build of our product, recognizing its usefulness across several projects. The product's threads are accurately cut and, although sometimes needing minor cleanup or modification, the product fits accurately. Several purchasers have praised the product's performance, often re-buying when needed. However, certain modifications are necessary for a proper fit, especially concerning disk brake caliper and spindle mount grease fitting. The zinc plating, while ensuring durability, may require removal for specific aesthetic purposes. Despite these minor issues, the product delivers reliable performance for its users.

Fitment was perfect, only a slight modification to fit the grease gun tip to the zerk fitting.

I had to run a tap through the threads to get the 1/2 x 20 fine thread bolts in. The bolts were brand new grade 8 bolts. Once I ran the tap through it worked fine.

I purchased this product after buying the longer one. They shipped it fast ,but I needed to modify it a little so that I could use the right angle grease fitting.

Heavy duty but you have to modify to clear disk brake caliper. Also won't clear grease fitting for spindle mount.

Great part and easy install. Only complaint is that it has a zinc plating on the part. I am working on a rat rod and had to sand blast it so that it will rust.
