The COMP Cams Evolution Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Lifters for Chevrolet 348 and 409 W-Series engines are engineered to bring modern hydraulic roller technology to classic big-block Chevrolet applications. Designed as a direct retrofit for engines originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts, these link-bar-style lifters utilize COMP Cams' patented Hydraulic Cartridge Technology (HCT) to deliver exceptional consistency, durability, and performance. The innovative self-contained hydraulic cartridge design reduces the effects of oil aeration, resulting in more consistent bleed rates, quieter operation, and improved performance at higher RPM levels.

The thick-wall lifter body provides excellent rigidity to reduce distortion under demanding conditions, while the reduced oil volume design helps improve responsiveness and minimize startup noise. These lifters also feature serviceable hydraulic elements, allowing for rebuildability and long-term maintenance. Designed for 1958-1965 Chevrolet 348 and 409 engines, the tall-body retrofit design fits both standard and tall lifter bore blocks, making them an ideal solution for performance street and restoration builds seeking the benefits of modern roller valvetrain technology.
