The E-Stopp® is the perfect e-brake for custom vehicles and winner of the 2012 NSRA new safety product of the year. It is a one button controller with one push to set and a second push to release. If wired direct to a battery source it can be activated with the key in the off position and the unit does require battery power to set or disengage.It not only frees up room on the chassis and in the cab but doubles as an anti-theft device when the button is hidden. It works with any kind of brake system that can accept an e-brake cable and can mount anywhere on the chassis that you have room. The electric parking brake kit comes with the actuator, the control box w/ switch and wire connectors all at an affordable price.

You have to start out with shipping from speedway motors, fast as usual. In the past I have done the typical leave the emergency brake cables hang on the hot rod. Not that important. But with age comes wisdom and we know classics can be temper mental when they want. I didn't want this investment to have to start from scratch if avoidable. No room for the factory e assembly under dash due to speaker pods so why not bring a little tech into my 70 C10. Easy to install and works great with the rear disc conversion. Added benefit is it does help with theft prevention.

I watched the installation video on U-Tube and it covered using existing parking brake cables. I had purchased the cable bracket and had installed it on the passenger side of the boxed frame before I realized the hole spacing for the brake cables were further apart than the spacing on the connection block. I had to disassemble everything and drill holes in the cable bracket. More information on when to use the cable bracket and how it should be installed would have been helpful.
