Doug's Headers D454 Details

Doug’s Headers D454 long-tube headers are built for early Mopar A-Body small-block swaps running an Alter-K-Tion aftermarket replacement K-member. The 1-3/4" primary, full-length 4-tube design is tuned for strong gains across the RPM range by improving scavenging and reducing backpressure—exactly what you want when you’re chasing horsepower and torque instead of fighting restrictions.

They’re constructed from heavy-duty 16-gauge steel with thick 3/8" machined flanges to help prevent warping and sealing issues over time. The metallic ceramic coating (silver) is applied after the tubes are pre-polished to help deliver a cleaner finish and improved heat management compared to bare steel. A V-band collector connection is used for a tight, leak-resistant seal, and the set includes reducers, plus the hardware and gaskets needed to install.

Application

These headers are intended for 1963–1966 Mopar A-Body small-block applications only when used with the Alter-K-Tion K-member and coil-over kit. If you’re running a Torqueflite 727, the setup can work, but you’ll need a mini starter for clearance.

All Doug's headers and exhaust products are guaranteed, to the original purchaser, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year. This warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation, customer applied aftermarket coatings or any other discoloration or corrosion of finished surfaces. Damage or product failure resulting from collision,improper installation, off-road use, road hazards, the use of exhaust insulting wrap or like products or rust occurring after installation, is not covered by the warranty. Should a part become defective it should be returned to the original selling retailer and must be accompanied with the original sales receipt. If there is no retailer in your area, call the factory for a return authorization and return your part prepaid to the factory for inspection. PerTronix reserves the right to replace or repair the alleged defective part and return the part freight collect.
