When installing our Universal Slim-Line Bear Jaw car door latches our optional mounting plates help make your car door latch installation go more smoothly and provide a professional finished look to your door. Without our mounting plates you must cut the precise opening for the universal car door latch jaws and striker pin to interface, plus the mounting holes for the car door latch itself. With these mounting plates you only make simple straight cuts to fit the mounting plates, saving time and frustration.

These door latch mounting plates are constructed of pre-bent steel for strength and precision cut with the necessary openings. They are designed to be welded into your steel door shell or can be bonded to a fiberglass door using proper fiberglass bonding procedures to mount your car door latch. These latch plates are designed to work with our Universal Slim-Line Bear Jaw car door latch models only. We also carry the correct door latch mounting plates for our Standard latches if you are using these larger alternative Bear Jaw universal car door latch assemblies in your hot rod or street rod’s door.
