Detroit Speed’s 090222DS Detroit Tuned rack and pinion is a rear-steer steering upgrade built specifically for 1968–1982 Chevrolet Corvette applications. It’s designed to deliver precise, modern steering feel with fitment-focused dimensions, including a 21.5-inch inner tie rod ball-to-ball width and an 8.9-inch mounting bolt span.

This rack is made from all-new components and each unit is quality-checked and performance-tested before packaging for consistent operation right out of the box. It also features clearly defined connection specs—M12-1.5 mounting bolt threads, 9/16”-18 outer tie rod threads, and a 17mm-36 input shaft (DSE P/N: 092525DS), along with UNJF pressure fitting threads for secure hydraulic connections.
