This custom cut and splined Currie Enterprises axle shaft is for Speedway fabricated housing 91046256 or 91047254 and other Ford 9" rearends. This is the "long" axle of the two that are required. Works with New Big Ford (Torino) bearing ends. Flanges are dual-drilled for both 5 on 4-1/2" Ford/Mopar and 5 on 4-3/4" GM wheel bolt patterns.

If the axle comes with the bearing pressed on, like mine did, you may have a problem. The bearing retainer only works with drum brakes of others with thin backing plates. Brakes like Wilwood discs require their own special bearing retainer, to accommodate the thicker backing plate. In that case, you'll have to cut off the bearing retainer and that is not easy. A bearing retainer with one open side, like part number 91048379 would be a better choice.
