COMP Cams Xtreme Energy 278AH-13 Camshaft Set for 4.6L and 5.4L SOHC Modular 2 Valve Ford with 1999-up Performance Improvement Heads.

Xtreme Energy For 1999-up Performance Improvement Heads, Note: Can also be used in Pre 99 (P.I.) Heads with retainer to guide clearance modifications and COMP Cams 26113 Valve Springs. SOHC-Street/Strip, needs 3.73+ gears, 2400+ stall. Intake, exhaust, computer and valve spring 26113 required. Rough idle. SOHC - Xtreme Energy: Street/strip, needs lower gear ratio, 2400+ stall. Intake, exhaust and custom tuning required. Rough idle.

Quicker opening lobe profiles deliver increased responsiveness & more area under the lift curve
More vacuum allows an increase in duration for improved performance & assists power brakes
Excellent performance in street carbureted applications
Best performance with aftermarket intake manifolds, headers, lower gear ratios, etc.
