Installation Tips

The following must be considered when using Bassett wheels for on highway / street use applications when the wheel/tire assembly is being balanced. Bassett Wheels are lug centric, which means they are built off of and must be balanced using the bolt circle and NOT the wheel center hole. Improper use of a tire balancer that centers the wheel on the hub bore, not the bolt circle will result in an incorrect reading for rim runout, as the center hole is not in the perfect center of the bolt pattern. The only machine capable of performing a lug centric balance is the Hunter GSP 9700 with the flange plate bolt circle adapter and no centering cone.

Bassett 52SR2SL Details

The Bassett ring style wide-five wheel is great for dirt track race cars that require a beadlock on the right rear tire. The beadlock utilizes 100% spun-form shells and rings. Spun-form shells and rings are stronger, lighter and have less runout than roll-formed beadlock wheels. Another important feature is a true measured width. Many beadlocks on the market are actually wider than reported, creating a stagger problem on the right rear corner of a dirt race car. The beadlock also uses 18 high grade bolts, which prevent premature wear and air leaks. Available in widths from 8" - 15" wide.
