ATK Engines SP112 Details

The ATK SP112 Dart Ford 427CI short block is a high-performance engine foundation built with a Dart SHP 351W block, featuring a 4.125" bore and 4.000" stroke for a total displacement of 427 cubic inches. It includes a Scat 4340 forged crankshaft, Scat 4340 H-beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 bolts, and 2618 forged -26cc dished pistons, offering compression ratios of 10.4:1 with 58cc heads, 9.8:1 with 64cc heads, and 9.3:1 with 70cc heads (compression may vary based on head gasket thickness). The short block is assembled with plasma-moly rings, Dura-Bond camshaft bearings installed and clocked to OEM specs, and brass freeze plugs and oil galley plugs that are installed and sealed. It is designed for internal balance, with recommendations for compatible balancers, flexplates, and head gaskets depending on the application.
