ATK Engines SP109 Details

The ATK SP109 Chevy LM7 5.3L short block is a high-quality engine foundation built using a seasoned LM7 block from the 1999-2007 model years, offering 330 cubic inches of displacement with a 3.810" bore and 3.622" stroke. It features an OEM GM 24-tooth reluctor wheel crankshaft, forged powder metal connecting rods, and stock hypereutectic flat-top pistons with two valve reliefs, providing compression ratios of 9.8:1 with 61cc heads, 9.5:1 with 64cc heads, and 9.1:1 with 68cc heads (compression may vary based on deck height and head gasket thickness). The short block is assembled with plasma-moly rings, camshaft bearings installed and clocked to OEM specifications, and sealed freeze and oil galley plugs. It is internally balanced and designed for use with internally balanced balancers, flexplates, and head gaskets for optimal performance.
