    Classic Corvette, Modern Power

These days, the C4 Corvette is often overlooked as a real performance car. Subsequent generations of America’s Sports Car have eclipsed the fourth generation with significantly more power under the hood and other modern innovations to make them truly amazing machines. But don’t forget that the C4 was a mind-blowing machine in 1984 when it first hit the streets. The first true redesign since ’68, these ‘Vettes were a huge leap toward those modern supercars that we see today.

If ultimate performance is the goal, the ’84-’96 Corvette will lose the horsepower wars when compared to the modern cars. The TPI L98 and later LT engines were revolutionary at the time, but modern tech has made huge, reliable power a reality in the newer cars. What if you could hotwire Corvette history and plug in one of those newer powerplants into that classic, capable, and affordable C4 chassis?

These 1984-1996 C4 Corvette LS Swap Headers are designed to help you do just that. They offer a key piece of the puzzle to squeeze modern LS power into your C4.

    Affordable Supercar Performance

The “bang for the buck” factor is one of the things that makes the C4 such an appealing platform for a street driven hot rod or weekend track car. Pair an affordable car with a junkyard LS and you’re on your way. But that budget can get out of control when you start adding super trick components to make it all work. These headers are designed with the budget builder in mind. Sure, stainless looks cool and the sky’s the limit on trick exhaust hardware to facilitate an LS swap, but these painted mild steel headers put performance first, offering an important ingredient to a budget LS swap into that old ‘Vette that won’t break the bank. Pair them with a Speedway Motors C4 Corvette to LS Motor Mount Conversion Kit and the big pieces are in place to complete the swap.

Long Tubes for Maximum Exhaust Flow

Some “engine swap” headers are designed to occupy as little space as possible. The resulting short tubes and compact collectors often sacrifice power. These headers feature a long tube design, with big 1-3/4” primaries and 3” collectors that exit under the floor of the car. This is the header to get the most out of your built LS engine.

Corvettes tend to be pretty low cars. Though these headers are a full-length design, the collector is only about 5-1/2” below the oil pan mount flange, providing both excellent ground clearance as week as long-tube performance. As a bonus, the collectors feature O2 sensor bungs pre-welded in each collector and properly oriented to clear your Corvette’s floor.

Note: ’92-’96 Corvettes used a different motor mount than the earlier cars. Some modification to the mount and subframe may be required to use these headers.

    Overall Assessment

Customers find the product to fit well, provided the engine maintains its original position. The build quality is appreciated, and the sound emitted gets positive feedback. Some customers note the headers do not clear on certain types of cars like LT1/LT4 based vehicles, but connect perfectly to the LS. Customers recommend our product over others largely for LS-based vehicles, highlighting its superior fitting and quality. It outperforms in comparison to universal mounts.

The product had a beautiful finish and gives my LS swapped 87 Corvette a really aggressive look. The only issues I had with the 87 model c4 corvette was slight Fitment issues. Passenger side will require some motor frame notching to fit second tube from the radiator back. Drivers side will need an inch of the firewall removed under the break booster to fit the last bolt against the wall. Otherwise fitment with those adjustments made is perfect! Possible information to share with other enthusiasts!

Look great, didn't even realize they come with a heat coat, fit great easier to take on and off than my old SBC headers. One thing I will note, install your driver o2 sensor before bolting the header in, it's a tight fit trying to install the sensor when it's already installed. Collectors line up perfectly with my dual exhaust already installed. Made my swap easier.

These are the only direct fit long tube headers that i could find for my 1990 Corvette LS swap. They look great and they are getting painted right now.

Used these for my 93 LS swap. Had fitment issues originally when using some universal ls to sbc engine mounts but once i got a dedicated set of adapter plates from Petris enterprises they fit perfectly. As long as you can keep your LS in the same location as your original motor they'll fit great. Good build quality and sound good.

DOES NOT FIT LT1/LT4 BASED CARS

Headers seem to be good quality and do in fact bolt up to the LS but do not clear the Passenger side frame rail/motor mount. Fits fine on the drivers side though. Maybe they fit L98 based cars better but definitely do not fit the cars with LT subframes.
