very nice for the price

I've always wanted a pair of finned aluminum valve covers (who hasn't, right ?). I thought about trying to find some decent used ones at a swap meet or online, but for the price I thought I might as well look at new ones. These are very nice covers for the price. They are double thick at the mounting holes and come with socket head bolts for mounting. I mounted mine using the t-handles that I already had from my chrome steel covers. Just a note: The fins along the top of the covers are nice and deep, like you would expect, but then they taper to very shallow at the very bottom of both ends. Not a big deal for me, but may be for others, so thought I would mention it. I also bought the Speedway neoprene rubber and steel gaskets to go with these. Nice combo, NO more leaks.

Decent product for the price

Solid and well cast valve covers, but "polished" is an overstatement. These are now show ready, so plan on giving them a machine polish before installation. They fit well, but I was disappointed in the finish. There were casting marks along the mounting surfaces and outer lip, and the smooth sides needed much more polishing in order to shine. Just be ready for some more work before you install.

I love the covers but my model a firewall is super close to the passenger side rear portion of valve cover and I would not have been able to install without grinding a good portion of the cover away so I am looking for a pair with a slightly smaller foot print. These covers are great looking and in most applications will be a perfect addition to any project.

I want to use these covers with these parts: Valvetrain Oil Deflector Part # 54567700 Rocker Arm 3/8 Inch Poly Locks Part # 550920 I need to know if the combined height of the poly locks and the oil deflector will fit inside these valve covers, or will the baffles get in the way? I need to know the height of the baffles and the height of the oil deflector. Thanks
