The part was a better design and fit than the other style. I was putting it on a 1968 chevy 327 which used 5/16 mounting bolts instead of the 1/4 inch, so I had to drill the mounting holes out, but it works great.

The unit was corroded in the package but speedway sent out a replacement extremely fast. Awesome support.

I used this on a 67 Impala with a 327 to eliminate the cartridge filter. I strongly suggest a mock up to check fitment. The filter adapter required elongating the bolt holes so that it could be bolted up without stripping a bolt hole in the block or cracking the filter adapter as it is cast aluminum. It works and I'm satisfied. Also I've come to accept aftermarket parts that need a little finesse to fit.

I purchased one for my 283, fit great no leaks,would reccomend, only con is using a ford filter on a Chevy engine lol
