Use this adapter to convert 1956-1967 V8 Chevy blocks (except Chevy II) from stock canister filter to the later spin-on style oil filter. No by-pass in this adapter.
This adapter accepts Fram PH30 or Fram HP2, 13/16"-16 thread.

This part is junk. Th o ring does not stay in place. Mine leaked terribly after a few miles. Oil leaked everywhere. Gave it one star because I had to to submit a review .

It was a simple fix that repaired a major oil leak in my 1967 396 block that was formerly a canister type filter but converted to a spin on filter. The previous adapter was flawed. The new part worked perfect.

I found the Quality to be lower than one I had ordered a few years ago. All the parts needed are Included and the Instructions are Clear. I did have to disassemble the whole thing, reclean everything, and use gasket sealer to get it to seal properly.
