The product receives mixed reviews, with some reporting installation issues regarding fit, while others praise the good fit. A recurring concern is about the product causing interference with motor mounts, requiring modification whether with an SBC adapter for a 3-speed transmission or with a Ford engine. Despite this, users acknowledge the product's ability to lower the front by 3", retain stock suspension, and its great looks once installed. Some wish for marked directionality and included hardware. Others highlight that expected fitting issues may require adjusting the oil pan. Despite some poor fit reports, those satisfied with the product would repurchase, testifying to its appeal over competitors.

This cross member doesn't fit using the sbc adapter to the stock 3speed transmission. The engine sits to far forward, the balancer hit the cross member. I think this would have been a great fit if I were to change to a different transmission.

lowers the front 3" and retains the stock suspension

This part is for a untouched never wrecked 48 Ford Out of 16 holes in the crossmember 2 lined up. Crossmember does not seat at bottom of frame rail, I'll make a shim plate. Posie spring doesn't fit in crossmember, I'll spread the crossmember and grind off the power coat. Center bolt is mispositioned 1/2 inch back altering the wheel base. Somehow I didn't expect this.

Hardware would have been nice. I didn't know which way was forward and put it in Backward first. Forward needs to be marked better. Looks great intalled. [@]

My 48 has a SB Chev. Will this product work with it? It looks like the bottom of the engine pulley and damper will hit this new cross member just from a visual analysis.
