Nice replacement for original 6v coil.

I used this adapter kit as a 12 volt replacement for the original 6 volt distributer mounted coil. The adapter kit looks nice and is a perfect fit. The adapter plate is designed to accommodate the 6 volt condenser, which it does nicely. However, if you are planning on using the kit as a 12 volt conversion, you will need the same type and designed 12 volt condenser as the 6 volt condenser supplied. Look closely at the picture of the kit and you will see how the supplied condenser should mount. A "band type" condenser such as the Mallory Ignition 400 12v condenser will not mount to the kits adapter plate.

works great does its job just fine but the metal it's made of is junk. if you tighten the coil wire at all it will strip you'll be hoping it doesnt leave you stranded on the side of the road.
